Costa Rica is planning to tap global bond markets for the first time since 2023 with issuance of as much as $1.5 billion.
The government of President Rodrigo Chaves will send legislation to congress in November or December which would allow it sell the bonds in 2026, Finance Minister Rudolf Lucke said in an interview in Washington.
