In response to mounting youth-led protests against the allocation of funds for the upcoming 2030 FIFA World Cup, the Moroccan government has announced an increase in the budget for social services for the upcoming year.
The government plans to allocate 140 billion dirhams (approximately $15 billion) to enhance healthcare and education, representing an 18% increase over this year’s budget. This decision reflects the administration’s commitment to addressing the concerns of young citizens and improving the quality of essential services.
