Citigroup Inc. expects Cameroon to tap the International Monetary Fund for a new program once the dust settles on elections held earlier this month because of macroeconomic pressures.

Incumbent, Paul Biya, 92, who is seeking an eighth term, is expected to win the Oct. 12 elections that were marred by the disqualification of his main challenger. Cameroon’s election commission is yet to declare a winner.
