On Thursday, thousands of Malaysians protested outside the US embassy in Kuala Lumpur, urging the US government to take decisive action regarding Israel. This demonstration comes amid escalating concerns over US President Donald Trump’s forthcoming visit to Malaysia.
The protesters demanded that the US exert pressure on Israel to allow humanitarian aid ships to reach Gaza, which has been heavily impacted by conflict. According to reports from Bernama, twenty-three Malaysians aboard these ships have been detained by Israeli authorities. Additionally, demonstrators called on Trump to intervene and prevent what they perceive as an attempt by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to undermine the peace process.
