CloudKitchens, a startup run by former Uber Technologies Inc. Chief Executive Officer Travis Kalanick, has picked additional banks for an initial public offering of its Middle Eastern operations, according to people familiar with the matter.
The ghost kitchen company, backed by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, is in talks to hire firms including JPMorgan Chase & Co., SNB Capital and First Abu Dhabi Bank PJSC to help arrange the deal, the people said, requesting anonymity to discuss private information. They will join Goldman Sachs Group Inc., which is also working on the transaction, Bloomberg News reported in April.
